COP25 Message – 100 Villages To Restore This Blue Planet’s Ocean Pastures Immediately
Climate Change Is The Biggest Issue For Most Earthlings
For many whose lives depend on the natural health and abundance of the oceans, restoring their Ocean Pastures is the more important issue.
Our work developing and teaching the practical skills and science of ocean pasture stewardship has been proven in partnership, a tiny native village on the islands of Haida Gwaii in the N.E. Pacific.
That first village effort proved this blue planet can be saved by the poorest amongst us. Together we demonstrated that many ocean miracles are near to hand, affordable, and deliverable. You and your village can bring back your fish. Join us.
Today in Madrid at the COP25 conference we are announcing our new program to save this blue planet. Our work to create public-private-partnerships involving 100 villages. Together we will become ‘good shepherds’ of the village ocean pastures.
No longer will humanity’s relationship with the oceans be one in which we only take from the ocean. We will give back to the oceans our loving and sustaining care from now until forever. In doing so we will bring back the fish by restoring ocean pasture health and photosynthesis.

Natures Solution
Proof that we can do this began with a tiny native village on the Gulf of Alaska islands of Haida Gwaii, we restored their ocean pasture to historic condition of health and abundance. Indisputable proof was seen when hundreds of millions of additional fish, Pink Salmon, swam into the nets of fishers in the North Pacific in the largest catch of salmon in all of history. As this nature-based solution of becoming ‘good shepherds’ results in restored plankton blooms, the phytoplankton (plant plankton) and its powerful photosynthesis repurposes billions of tonnes of humanities toxic CO2 into new ocean life and oxygen.
Former Chief Scientist Sir David King, presently creating the Cambridge Centre for Climate Repair lists ocean pasture restoration as a key nature-based solution to mitigate climate change. He has been quoted as stating, ‘ocean pasture restoration has the potential to remove more than 30 billion tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere.’
Much of the credit for this second miracle of the fishes belongs to one tiny village of fewer than 800 souls. One village of people with a real belief that they are, always have been, and must continue to be, part of nature. And along with that faith, as a village, we have proven to have the ability to dream the impossible dream and to work to make that dream literally come alive.
Billions of Additional Fish To Help Feed The World
We are bringing back village fish and all marine life not by talking but by acting and becoming learned stewards of our ocean pastures and replenishing and restoring those ocean pastures to historic levels of health and abundance. The numbers and tonnes of fish is beyond anyone’s wildest dreams,(go ahead click that link to read more). Not just thousands of fish, millions of fish. Not just hundreds of tonnes of fish hundreds of thousands of tonnes of fish.
Today we are assembling a group of 100 villages each with the determination and ability to restore their ocean pastures and ‘Bring Back The Fish.’ As the 100 villages set sail they will be the vanguard of a brave new world where caring for ocean pastures to sustain their fish at historic levels of health and abundance is to be honorable work for the ages to come.
.
Together 100 villages can and will replenish and restore our oceans and our world.
This miracle is not one of our sole invention. It is one that has come about first as a result o;f 30 years and half a billion dollars in public and private funding on ocean pasture ecology and restoration. It also comes about by working with the first one small village over the course of 6 years. It comes out of 16,000 years of village culture on a tiny group of isolated islands that have taught caring for life in the oceans.
Your Village Is Invited To Join Us
Your village, like our first village partner, can do the same with your ocean pastures. Join us and we will teach you how to bring the fish back, your fish. And in the doing of this work of becoming good shepherds for the oceans, we will be the most potent force on this blue planet to restore Nature.
Where will replenishment and restoration of ocean pastures work? Almost everywhere, on all of the world’s seven seas. Some places are better than others. If your ocean pastures once had more fish than today don’t imagine that overfishing has been and is the whole problem. Ocean pasture collapse is everywhere, save very near to shore, the far greater problem facing ocean fish.
Give back health and abundance and become the stewards of your ocean pastures.
Don’t imagine that this work will cost billions or take decades to succeed, it will cost mere millions, and ocean pastures around the world will be restored and sustained at historic levels of health and abundance within 10 years.
Come to our school of ocean pasture stewardship and we will teach you. There is much to learn and we will help you with that learning so that your village can achieve immediate results comes easy. We’ve done most of the hard learning and will make it easy for your village. You just need to begin.
.
Imagine that within just a few years, your fish came back in abundance.
Imagine that within less than a decade that abundance of fish in your ocean pastures was equal to the greatest numbers in history.
Leave us a comment. Tell us a little about your community, is it a village, a town, a fisherman’s cooperative, a city, or even a fishing company, all are welcome.
G’day from Down Under Russ from an ole local just started his ninth decade on planet Earth (should be planet Water, Eh ?
Watched the COP 25 Pasture Restoration clip from ScientistsWarning.org and then revisited the May 2018 Ecologist article which popped into my Inbox. Started digging more ‘n here you are !
You have my great admiration and most sincere thanks for your life and what you’ve done with it.
I’m in a little town of about 1600 on the edge of Byron Bay and where there is one trawler still going out.
I take George, the four small four footed friend I willingly serve, to the glorious beach here morn ‘n late pm and immerse myself in wonder.
This area is a bubble of environmental consciousness and beauty. sea, sky and land – so much so it is hard to comprehend just how this race of beings has impacted on its planet home.
Perhaps – I hope – this current virus is a very sophisticated immune response from Gaia herself to tackle the cancer that humanity has largely. ecome, take a few humans but so disrupt their flow of consuming. dominated by the greed of a tiny percentage amassing more and more – what ? wealth ?
I think not.
Perhaps your and my grandchildren ang ones inspired by such as you, young Thunberg ( Suzuki before) and by the rising tide of magic women rising rising to generate wholesale systems change before so much upon, within, above this tiny globe are driven to extinction.
Ah well, she’ll shrug, and new experiments like us will begin ….
Oh how I entreat the Kosmos whole ‘n each ‘n every aspect of what’s ineffable, please build a field, come help. wake all humanity up to grow, mature, help folk like you, Gaia too, rise ip, rebel, act now change, change the satus quo before Davy Jones Locker e’een further down under draws so much in to growlind witnessing thunder.
Thanks so much again for you – I too do so love Treas ‘n Seas but so little do.
